Sunday afternoon at Room 808 in Houston, TX, DJ Good Grief brings music history to life. Spinning vinyl live, he highlights the iconic samples that shaped some of the greatest tracks out there. It’s raw, authentic, and a true celebration of sound.
Placed in the heart of Houston’s East End downtown, Room 808 feels alive with creativity, culture, and community. Walk inside and you’re welcomed by the aroma of fresh coffee drifting from the café, surrounded by a vintage clothing shop and a modern barber offering sharp, clean cuts.
Upstairs, you’ll find a space filled with art, books, music, and chess. The heartbeat of the space, though, is the upstairs record shop, where DJs spin tracks on LPs and 45s all day and late into the night. Tucked away in the back is a laid-back speakeasy, the perfect hideaway to sip and unwind. It’s a haven for music lovers, artists, and anyone who appreciates the fusion of sound, style, and soul.
Sample Sunday runs every weekend from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, no cover charge.
